The Overlook
~Story~
In 2009, this modern home was designed as a summer retreat for a Grammy-Winning Music Producer.
He wanted a home that was up to date in the world of modern luxury, while still being modest enough to not attract the attention of the paparazzi.
After days of research, he decided to contact us, the Design Team at Simoleon Real Estate, as we have a reputation in helping the most exclusive sims find or design their
dream homes.
After roughly two years of construction, the home was finally completed in March of 2011, just in time for this celebrity to escape the hustle for the summer.
Upon completing his vacation, he emailed us stating that he was absolutely in love with the house, but that he changed his mind about the location...
He just purchased property in the Swiss Alps, and he wanted us to rebuild this home there.
The home owner actually contemplated leveling the lot, as he couldn't stand the thought of someone else in the world owning the same house as him.
In attempt to save this beautiful piece of architecture, we pitched the idea of him donating the home to his favorite charity, where it would then be sold as a fundraiser.
We eventually got him to love the idea.. After all, who wouldn't want a large tax write off after just spending $3MIL on a collection of Vintage Ferraris...?

The Madison Estate
Tucked away in the hills of the Southern United States, rests a plantation style mansion, The Madison Estate. Built in 1847 for a famous politician, the mansion stayed in the family until 2009, when it was sold to Simoleon Real Estate. Simoleon Real Estate hired a crew of restoration experts to undertake the remodel (taking 2 years and roughly $100K to complete). Focusing on bringing the house up to date in the world of modern luxury, while still retaining its southern/antique feel.
